The following clinics are available at our surgery by appointment:
- Asthma Clinic
Annual asthma checks are carried out for all patients who are on the asthma register; these checks are performed by our Health Care Assistant and take approximately 20 minutes. You will be required to bring along your inhalers to your appointment.
You can attend this service without a referral - Baby Clinic with Health Visitor
Currently the Baby clinic is run from the Berries Health Centre and is by appointment only, your childs health visitor will carry out all development checks for your child. Should you wish to discuss any issues or concerns you are having you can either call or visit the centre to speak to someone.

This is carried out by your Health Visitor which will be by appointment only
This service requires a referral by your GP - Child Immunisations
Our Child Immunisation clinic runs on a Tuesday from 10.30 – 11.30 am, all children who require any injection as part of the national immunisation programme will have an appointment sent to them through the Child Health Service, which they must attend at the surgery with the child’s red book. This clinic is run by either our Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse
You can attend this service without a referral - COPD Clinic with Spirometry
Sue (HCA) carries out annual reviews for all patients with COPD; you are requested not to use your inhalers for 4 hours before your appointment.
This service requires a referral by your GP - Dressings Clinic (Nurse led)
HCA who has had extensive wound care training carries out all dressing changes
You can attend this service without a referral - Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Specialist Clinic – Ear Syringe Only
This is only available to patients who have previously been seen by either Jogi (PN) or our HCA for an ear check, the procedure takes approximately 20 minutes
This service requires a referral by your GP - Learning Disability Health Check
All patients who have learning difficulties whether it be mild or severe are invited for an annual health check with their carer. This is a 20 minute appointment with HCA
You can attend this service without a referral - Long-acting Reversible Contraception (LARC – e.g. IUD or Implant)
We offer a full sexual health and contraception service, pill checks are recommended every 6 months with either Jo (ANP) or Jogi (Practice Nurse). We also offer IUCD (Coil) fitting this is by appointment only with Dr Mahay.
You can attend this service without a referral - Minor Injuries
If you have suffered a minor injury we will endeavour to see you within 48 hours either with the GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner. - Minor Surgery (Joint Injections)
Dr Mahay is the only Clinician who performs this procedure in the surgery, and this is by appointment only following a consultation with the doctor.
You can attend this service without a referral - Travel Health without Yellow Fever
Patient who are travelling abroad are advised to speak to the staff regarding travel advice only - Phlebotomy
Whilst we do not offer this service in the surgery there are several other clinics that patients can attend, please speak to our reception staff for further information.
